Dr Mark Davis

BSc, MBChB, PhD, FRACP, FCANZ

Dr Mark Davis, a cardiology consultant with a subspecialty in Cardiac Imaging (Echocardiography, CT Coronary Angiography and Cardiac MRI) and Heart Failure. With 17 years' experience, he completed his cardiology training in Christchurch.

After four years of international imaging fellowships, he returned to New Zealand taking up a position as Cardiologist and Director of Heart Failure at Waikato DHB, before being made Director of Cardiac Imaging. Previously one of the New Zealand representatives for the Australasian Cardiac Imaging Council, he remains on the Australasian Conjoint Committee for Cardiac MRI. Mark continues to work as a cardiologist at Waikato Hospital and sits on the Cardiology Executive Group that runs the department.

Dr Micaela Molinero

MD, MMedEd, FRACP

Dr. Micaela Molinero, a seasoned Cardiologist from Argentina, brings over a decade of expertise to the field. She received her Masters of Medical Education from the University of Dundee in Scotland. Her extensive background includes specialised training in Adult Echocardiography and Advanced Heart Failure, Mechanical Circulatory Support, and Heart Transplantation through fellowships at the esteemed University of Toronto in Canada.

Dr Molinero is currently serving as the Clinical Lead for Heart Failure, Imaging Cardiologist specialising in Echocardiography and a member of Waikato Hospital's Cardiology Executive Group.

Dr. Vijay Anand Dhakshinamurthy

MBBS, PhD, FRCP, FRACP, FESC, FCSANZ

Dr. Vijay Anand Dhakshinamurthy has 20 years’ experience in various non-invasive Cardiac Imaging modalities with12 years as a practising Consultant Cardiologist and Lead for Advanced Cardiac Imaging in tertiary cardiac centres in the UK and New Zealand. He is internationally accredited in Multimodality Cardiac Imaging, completed subspecialty training in Advanced Cardiac Imaging and Heart Failure at Barts and the London Hospitals NHS trust.

He is a specialist imaging cardiologist at Te Whatu Ora Waikato (Waikato DHB) and the current portfolio lead for Cardiac Imaging.

Ms Jacqueline Toy

PGDip in Cardiac Ultrasound

With 16.5 years' experience in Cardiac Sonography, Jacqueline started training in Cardiac physiology in 1993, moving into cardiac sonography exclusively in 2007 and gaining a post graduate diploma in 2009.

Jacqueline is the Charge Cardiac Sonographer at Te Whatu Ora Waikato (Waikato DHB) and is passionate about fair and equitable care for all in a caring and supporting environment.
